I am excited to join the team as Assistant Executive Director! I have worked in senior living for more than 12 years, beginning my career as a dietary aide. It was in that role that I discovered how rewarding it is to build meaningful relationships with residents and found a passion for making a positive difference in their daily lives. Over the years, I have been fortunate to learn and grow through a variety of roles within senior living, most recently working in sales and marketing. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, reading and visiting family in Northern Wisconsin. I look forward to getting to know everyone and supporting the wonderful community at Lumia Mequon.

Wendy has worked in healthcare for 26 years, including 22 years as a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including the convent, hospice, and Froedtert primary care. After many years in different areas of healthcare, she is especially grateful to have returned to something she truly loves: working with older adults.
Outside of work, Wendy is married, has three adult children, and six grandchildren, who are truly the apple of her eye. Family means so much to her, and she treasures the time they spend together. Wendy is also very involved in her church, where she volunteers and helps lead middle and high school students. Another passion of hers is sponsoring children in El Salvador and supporting them so they have opportunities to thrive. One of her biggest goals is to travel to El Salvador and meet the children she sponsors in person.

Honey is our beloved therapy dog and a special part of our community. She loves spending time with residents, offering companionship, comfort, and plenty of smiles. Whether she’s stopping by for a visit or enjoying a quiet cuddle, Honey has a wonderful way of brightening the day.
